COME UP AND SEE US SOMETIME!

SATURDAY, MAY 22, 2010
NEW YORK, NY

In today’s modern world where anything and anyone can hide behind a computer monitor posing as who he or she wants to be, all of us at 2AFRIKA, INC. in New York City felt it appropriate to show our audience our suite of offices.

We operate from the Financial District in New York City and are located at:

111 John Street, Suite 1060
New York, NY 10038

So if you’re in the area, ‘Come up and see us sometime’! We’re a very hospitable crowd. Simply put, with the internet age separating us from our passengers, we miss the human element, and love visitors to come in to plan their African tours and safaris.

Of course, since we serve a global audience, that is not possible – but it is worth mentioning that “If you happen to be in the area, come up and see us sometime”. If you would like to meet with us to discuss your African tour or safari, please take a moment to call us ahead of time to set up an appointment so that we can allocate one of our associates to attend to you appropriately. It is to your and our mutual benefit that an appointment is scheduled so that both you and your associate can be assured that the time you spend together is time well spent.

You can call us Toll-Free on 1-866-462-2374 during our normal business hours.

In the meanwhile, enjoy this selection of recent photographs taken in our New York City office.

2AFRIKA NEWS - AWAY WITH AIRLINE FUEL SURCHARGES AND MANDATORY TAXES

TUESDAY, MAY 04, 2010
NEW YORK, NY
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

2AFRIKA, INC. announced today that the company would no longer feature Airline Fuel Surcharges and Mandatory Taxes as part of it's portfolio.

Airline Fuel Surcharges and Mandatory Taxes are out of control,  inapropriate and are always frowned upon as 'hidden costs' a company spokesperson said. Now, when we quote a price for an airline ticket, we will factor in all of the charges and provide the (already confused) passenger with the 'bottom-line' said the spokesperson.

The way we see it is that the airlines have caused such havoc and chaos with a charge for this and a charge for that, that the traveling public has become so confused (as have we) that it is becomig far too labor intensive to deal with the airlines any longer. Luring a passenger with a $695.00 round trip fare to South Africa and then slapping on Airline Fuel Surcharges and Mandatory Taxes for an additional $700.00 per person is not the way we do business - it is improper!

Starting tomorrow, if you happen to call 2AFRIKA, INC. for a quotation for an airfare, you will get the 'bottom-line' which once paid for and issued, will not change under any circumstances.

ANOTHER COUNTRY THROUGH MY EYES – BEHIND THE CAMERA

CUT - Hieber & Harris in the studio awaiting 'Action'

Hieber and Harris relaxing after the recording
SATURDAY, MARCH 06, 2010
NEW YORK, NY
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

At 2AFRIKA’s studio in New York City this week, Kenneth R. Hieber talked with Ronnie Harris of 1Time Airlines, a South African airline operating from Johannesburg O.R. Tambo International Airport.

The airlines extensive domestic network was born of the courage of four men followed by a 5th who believed in them. It started as a dream that quickly became a reality. Now in its 6th year in service, 1Time Airlines not only serves the all of the major cities of South Africa but has extended service to Livingstone in Zambia, the gateway to the Victoria Falls, and even further afield, Zanzibar – the Spice Islands in the Indian Ocean.

In this episode of ANOTHER COUNTRY THROUGH MY EYES, Hieber and Harris discuss the financial benefits of flying 1Time Airlines; the carriers’ slogan is 'More Nice. Less Price.', as well as the range of destinations served within South Africa.

"Travelers wanting to take a trip in Southern Africa can now, finally, extend into the Indian Ocean and visit the exotic Spice Islands at a very affordable cost," said Kenneth Hieber. He added, "It’s a fantastic way to round-up a vacation and travelers are well advised to consider a 1Time extension to Zanzibar."

The name 1Time is a reflection of the South African soul of the company. In South Africa, the phrase "one time!" is a colloquialism meaning "for real!"

ANOTHER COUNTRY THROUGH MY EYES, a TV show dedicated to the passion of African travel is recorded at 2AFRIKA’s studio in New York City and on location in Africa. Episodes air online and are produced by Kenneth R. Hieber and Directed by filmmaker Chris Digman. Graphic designer Eric Langlay of ETV Media assists with pre and postproduction editing. ANOTHER COUNTRY THROUGH MY EYES is a division of the Kenneth R. Hieber Group of Travel Companies and all rights are reserved.
