One Small Step

MONDAY, JULY 21ST, 2008
NEW YORK, NY
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Do you remember where you were?

On July 21, 1969, at 02:56 UTC astronaut Neil Armstrong left the lunar landing module of the Apollo 11 mission and climbed down the ladder to the Moon's surface. Once there, he said "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind" Buzz Aldrin soon joined him and for the next two-and-a-half hours, they explored the surface, observations, taking photographs and drilling core samples. The mission marked the fulfillment of President John F. Kennedy's goal of placing a man on the moon during the decade of the 1960's.

Can you believe that we’re one year away from the 40th Anniversary?

Meet Ed Ewert!

Edward L. Ewert
is a professional photographer based in Los Angeles, CA, specializing in aerial and architectural subjects. Before starting his photography business, Ewert pursued travel photography and journalism by creating feature articles and editing a fledgling motor-sports publication during his career in the financial industry. Several times a year he takes a break from his business in Los Angeles and travels the world to recharge his inspiration. Travel photography is the heart of his passion, requiring many disciplines which he applies to his work at home. His travels produce a growing collection of internationally recognized photographs that appear in publications and marketing materials throughout the USA, Europe and Asia.

After first visiting Africa in 2001, his passion for the continent has only grown. The amazing wildlife, scenery and people have inspired Ewert to create compelling images that help raise money for local causes through gallery shows and other charity projects.

After several successful projects with 2AFRIKA, INC., Ewert Photography is now offering a unique safari experience to 14 photographers in the spring of 2009. Leading photo safaris in Africa has been a dream of his for many years, and the adventure begins next year in Zambia.
