2AFRIKA’S KENYA CLASSIC SAFARI AS REPORTED BY ARTHUR FROMMER

THURSDAY, JANUARY 28, 2010
NEW YORK, NY
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

In an article reported by Arthur Frommer in the San Francisco Chronicle recently, he made mention of an all-inclusive Safari to Kenya for $2,849 per person.

We have had many callers communicate with us with regards to this Safari which does NOT appear on our website appropriately. This BLOG is intended to clarify the details of the report in the hope that it will clear the unnecessary confusion.

The Safari DOES exist – it is named KENYA CLASSIC and is found on 2AFRIKA’s home page or in the Kenya Portfolio. When you review the itinerary, you will see that it is a 7-Day Safari originating and terminating in Nairobi. The routing takes in Nairobi, the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Lake Nakuru National Park, and Amboseli National Park. It is priced at $1,399 + tax of $195 per person for all departures throughout April and May of 2010. Additionally, there is no ‘single supplement’ applicable which is very advantageous to single travelers.

The reported price is perfectly accurate at $2,849 per person, the difference being made up of the airfare to and from Nairobi. This fare is good for departures from San Francisco or Los Angeles via London with continuation service to Nairobi.

With the airlines fluctuating their prices and taxes so frequently nowadays, we have chosen to eliminate the ‘air portion’ from our website simply because keeping updated is very labor intensive, and unending!

We do hope that this clarifies the accuracy of the report and we apologize for any inconvenience which may have been caused – but it is accurate as reported and will remain so as long as space is available.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OLETA ADAMS is back in town on February 20th, and you should 'Get There' for an evening of true inspirational entertainment!

Since the runaway success of her 1990 debut album "Circle of One," and the impassioned hit single "Get Here" – the Brenda Russell composition that became an unofficial anthem of the 1991 Gulf War – Oleta Adams has inspired a growing legion of fans in the U.S. and Europe with journeys of the heart, songs that draw deeply from her roots in Gospel, while crossing effortlessly into the realms of soul, R&B, urban, and popular music.

Her success, nurtured by worldwide tours with Tears for Fears, Michael Bolton, and Luther Vandross, have been solidified by three Grammy nominations and a seemingly bottomless well of creative energy "Adams' exquisite voice is an instrument whose high end vibrated in stunning clarity and whose bottom range resonates richly." ---Rolling Stone Magazine

"She performs within the pop lexicon without letting it transform or cheapen her talents. Her classically trained voice is nuanced, and she coaxes quiet tears from her listeners as often as she inspires spontaneous, one-person standing ovations. She dares to be overtly inspirational, vulnerable and loving." ---The New York Times

Did you know that the pied kingfisher is believed to be the world’s longest bird – measured bill to tail – that can sustain hovering flight in still air? This hovering ability allows it to hunt over shallow water without a perch.

SOUTH AFRICAN AIRWAYS AND 2AFRIKA, INC. LAUNCH 2010 NAMIBIA EXPERIENCES

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 13, 2010
NEW YORK, NY
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

South African Airways, 2AFRIKA's preferred airline carrier to southern Africa, and 2AFRIKA, INC. (http://www.2afrika.com/) have collaborated yet again and have launched 15 new and innovative journeys in Namibia.

"With most of the journeys originating and terminating in Windhoek which is served by South African Airways from Johannesburg (with easy connections from the John F. Kennedy International NYC arrival into Johannesburg), getting to Namibia is even more accessible now," said 2AFRIKA's Founder & President, Kenneth R. Hieber.

"There are journeys through this magnificent vast land from as short as 4-days/3-nights into the Namib Desert starting from only $549.00 per person," said Hieber who encourages travelers to consider South Africa is neighboring countries.

Namibia is becoming a sought after destination for ‘travelers-in-the-know’ on the Continent he added, and with the Namibian Dollar running parallel to the South African Rand, prices have never been better.

From the isolation of the Namib Desert to the Fish River Canyon (the world’s second largest canyon after the Grand Canyon), to the grandeur of Etosha National Park, Namibia is now one of the most accessible African countries given South African Airways' extensive route network.

Other journeys include the coastal region boasting desert dunes which spill into the Atlantic Ocean, the mysterious Caprivi Strip (ending in Botswana and the Victoria Falls), and each modular journey is inter-combinable, affording an option that will most certainly meet every passengers individual style, personality and expectation.

Hieber encourages Africa bound travelers to consider Namibia as an alternative at this time for as he puts it, "This startlingly beautiful country is an emerging destination, and you want to get there ahead of the pack."

Namibia is famous for its rugged beauty and peaceful isolation and 2AFRIKA is proud to feature the destination in its portfolio.
