Virgin Atlantic Airways, Kenya Airways & 2AFRIKA announce 'Spring Safari Special'

African safaris are exotic, exclusive experiences and often come with high price tags. But when three great partners put their resources to the test, the results are oftentimes 'incredible'!

2AFRIKA, INC. ( http://www.2afrika.com/ ), an established New York City based African Safari Tour Operator that specializes in 'Keeping Africa Affordable', Virgin Atlantic Airways and Kenya Airways have done it again with the introduction of THE GRAND COMBO, a 16-day 'air-inclusive' Safari to Kenya and Tanzania starting from only $4,669 per person (including all fuel surcharges and airline taxes).

THE GRAND COMBO operates year round but in April and May of 2011, travelers who yearn to visit East Africa on Safari can do so for only $4,669 per person - including air!

This amazing adventure begins from the travelers choice of New York (JFK), Newark Liberty, Boston, Washington DC, Miami, Orlando, Las Vegas, Los Angeles or San Francisco (all at no additional cost) - travels to London and onward to Nairobi.

In East Africa, the adventure continues to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Lake Nakuru National Park, Amboseli National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Olduvai Gorge, the Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park.

2AFRIKA's Founder & President, Kenneth R. Hieber, stated that he had not seen such affordable pricing since the late nineties.

THE GRAND COMBO includes all flights (incl. fuel surcharges & taxes), 12 nights’ accommodation, 36 meals, 17 safari game drives, a visit to a Maasai Manyatta (homestead) and all National Park entrance fees. In April & May, the single supplement that oftentimes becomes prohibitive for single travelers is waived, and the Safari comes with 2AFRIKA's 'Money Back Guarantee'.

"There can be no better time to enjoy an African Safari to Kenya and Tanzania," said Hieber at 2AFRIKA's head office in New York City, "and I encourage travelers to take full advantage of these incredible prices as soon as possible as space is limited and offers like these don't come along every day!"

For more information, view THE GRAND COMBO at http://www.2afrika.com/.

NEW TOURISM ROUTE FOR THEEWATERSKLOOF - WESTERN CAPE - SOUTH AFRICA

Theewaterskoof Municipality in the Cape Overberg is planning to launch the Cape Country Meander in September 2010, a self-drive route to showcase the region's wine, nature, adventure and sport attractions. Theewaterskloof is an agricultural region covering the towns of Grabouw, Villiersdorp, Botrivier, Grenadendal, Greyton, Caledon, Tesslesdal, and Riversonderend.

Visitors making their way along the south Cape coast to explore the Atlantic coastline, before heading off to the Garden Route, often overlook these towns.

To improve the area's competitiveness in the tourism industry, the Theewaterskloof Municipality has announced it is planning to launch the Cape Country Meander Route in September 2010. Simultaneously, a multi-pronged tourism development strategy to revive and transform the local economy, and that will benefit local communities, SMME’s (small-medium micro enterprises), and tourism product and service providers, is being implemented.

The region of Theewaterskloof is recognised for its fruit and wine farms. Elgin and Grabouw together comprise the apple-growing centre of the Cape, and Bot River’s Chenin Blanc wines win international awards.

The area lends itself to outdoor sports like mountain biking, hiking, cross-country marathons, water skiing, boating and fishing. A number of towns on the route fall within the Cape Floral Kingdom World Heritage Site, giving visitors access to the Green Mountain Eco Route (the world’s first biodiverse wine route) and the Groenland Mountain Conservancy in the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve.

Under the theme ‘revive your love of touring’, the Cape Country Meander Route will be marketed as a self-drive discovery experience as opposed to a typical A to B route. Wine, nature and adventure sport enthusiasts looking to get out of town and explore country back roads, will be able to design their own itinerary, and travel at their own pace, using the variety of attractions and accommodation options along the route.

Compared to other regions in the Overberg, Theewaterskloof is underdeveloped and largely undiscovered. It's this ‘barefoot and unplugged’ quality that the region's stakeholders hope will lure new local and international visitors to the area.

TODAY IS MANDELA DAY 2010

Join us and millions of others around the world as we celebrate MANDELA DAY 2010http://www.mandeladay.com/

I am honored to have lived my life at the same time as Madiba! I am honored to be learning lessons from a living legend and not from an historical account. I am humbled to have had the pleasure of meeting Madiba on several occasions throughout my life, the first time even before his presidency.

I am grateful that 'my' life path has been illuminated by the simple yet profound lessons and teachings of this extraordinarily wise man.

Today being his birthday, my personal wish for Madiba is a year filled with comfort, joy, and a gentle amber glow of love and peace - that which he has bestowed upon us all!

Thank you seems so little Mr. President, but it comes from a heart filled with inspiration, admiration, and an unwavering respect.
