NEW YORK, NY
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
We have received information that effective July 01 2009, Zanzibar International Airport will be closed for essential ongoing maintenance from 7:00PM to 7:00AM daily
It is unclear at this stage (June 17, 2009) which flights will be affected, but airlines will announce any timetable changes. The airport will remain closed for 12 hours overnight until August 14 2010. That is correct 2010 – you read that correctly!
We will update this message as we receive more information from airport authorities in Zanzibar
