Tanzania authorities have announced an increase in the entry
fee to view Olduvai Gorge and visit the Gorge's museum. This increase will go
into effect from 01 February 2012. The implementation of this increase was
objected to by the Tanzania Association of Tour Operators in hopes that more
notice could be provided but they were not successful in their efforts.
The price will increase from the current $3.00 per person to
$17.00 per person.
