NEW YORK, NY
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) recently updated its privacy notice from the notice originally published in the Secure Flight Final Rule. The updated notice more clearly communicates to passengers that failure to provide full Secure Flight Passenger Data may result in denial of transport or denial of authority to enter the boarding area.
Since providing Secure Flight data elements in the Passenger Name Record (PNR) is the best remedy for avoiding a boarding pass restriction that would force a customer to the airport ticket counter, travel agents should include all Secure Flight data elements in every PNR, domestic and international. Required Secure Flight passenger data elements include: passenger full name, date of birth and gender.
